Cost and method of obtaining data

This data was obtained on 11 July 2025 and 14 May 2025 through two FOI applications by Tamar Hopkins from Victoria Police. Victoria Police charged $1,135.00 for the release of the search without warrant data. Victoria Police charged an additional $2,328.80 for the Use of Force data.

Information about the data

The search data contains all searches conducted by police in 2024, recorded on their L19C forms. Please note that each individual who is searched has at least two entries that respond to them.

The use of force data contains all use of force incidents recorded by Victoria Police in 2024 excluding animal destructions.
